VISUAL IDENTITY
(Click on images to expand)The current visual identity of Cyclops Coffee gives off a fun and playful feel; however, it conflicts with the contemporary interior and exterior of the café. Additionally, the logo icon and signature lack memorability and cohesiveness, particularly in terms of color choice and style. I think I want to lean into the contemporary feel of newer, trendier cafés while still incorporating Cyclops Coffee's playful energy. I do appreciate their mascot, though.
BRAND COLLATERAL

CURRENT BUSINESS/GIFT CARDS
The current brand collateral of Cyclops Coffee feels a bit underwhelming and uncohesive. I believe a more engaging design could be incorporated into their collateral, potentially exploring more creative forms as well. For example, the business card doesn’t have to look like a traditional card, but I’ll keep in mind that the UX of a business card is meant to be functional. Additionally, the merchandise is a bit boring, and the menu being made of glass makes it hard to read due to reflections, the in-store angle, and the size of the type.
INTERIOR/EXTERIOR
Cyclops Coffee needs a rebrand that aligns its playful energy with a more contemporary aesthetic. The current visual identity, while fun, clashes with the modern interior and exterior, and the logo icon and signature lack memorability due to inconsistent color choices and style. Their brand collateral is underwhelming and uncohesive; items like the business card, merchandise, and especially the glass menu—which suffers from readability issues—could be more creatively designed while still remaining functional. In addition, the website's UX/UI is lackluster, with a dull color palette, awkward negative space, disorganized typography, blurry images, and no personal domain name. Overall, in order to have a successful rebrand I’m going to modernize the visual identity, create a cohesive set of collateral, and improve digital experiences while retaining the charm of Cyclops Coffee’s playful mascot.
